After previewing the shoe just last week, here we are finally treated to the full scope of Extra Butter‘s new collaboration with Saucony. Harkening to the American brand’s deep roots in the U.S. footwear canon – which saw them recruited by President John F. Kennedy to develop NASA’s space boots – Extra Butter sought to pick up where Saucony left off in the 1960s. With that, here we find the Grid 9000 silhouette outfitted with nylon and premium suede at the upper, making a nod to the Advanced Crew Exploration Suits (hence, “ACES”) at the upper. NASA-inspired patches and reflective 3M hits around the side stripe and collar cleverly help accentuate the motif. One of more thoughtful collaborations in recent memory, look for these to drop for $130 USD at Extra Butter locations beginning April 24. Head here for release day information.
