After dropping in limited quantities over the weekend in honor of “Selection Sunday,” the Packer Shoes x Reebok Shaq Attaq “Official Friend of the Program” is set for another release this week. Dropping in celebration of 1994’s cult classic Blue Chips, the kicks are a nod to the film’s fictional Western University Dolphins and “blue chip” recruit Neon Boudeaux – played by none other than Shaquille O’Neal. Decked out in Western’s royal blue and gold, the release comes with custom hang tags while Boudeaux’s #50 appears on the inside of the right shoe’s tongue branding tab. Completing the package are cash-emblazoned insoles as a nod to the benevolent booster – a “friend of the program” – whose lavish gifts ultimately landed Western the Shaq-played Boudeaux.
