This flamboyant iteration is inspired by the lightning maroon clownfish from Papua New Guinea. The hybrid cross between maroon clownfish and zebrafish is one of the most elite collectors’ fish, valued between $3,000 USD to $5,000 USD. The light maroon color was chosen specifically for this purpose to reflect the eccentric appearance of the unique species, as well as the use of soft materials on the upper, such as suede and nubuck to resemble the rare fish’s skin.
