Editor-in-chief of American Vogue and Artistic Director of Condé Nast, Anna Wintour takes an indirect shot at power couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in an exclusive interview. On Kimye’s appearance covering the April issue of Vogue, Wintour quips, “I see the role of Vogue to reflect what’s going on in the culture…I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine! Nobody would talk about us. It’s very important that people do talk about us.” Wintour states that putting controversial and often-talked about figures on the covers of Vogue helps to attract consumers to the issue.
