A brand new twist on the label’s Mesa Moc, Vans introduces the Mesa 79 CA as a part of its Vans California collection for Fall 2013. Taking inspiration from the aesthetic of World War II desert boots, the mid-top features a predominately leather upper with waxed canvas accents as a nod to the era’s army packs. Contrast stitching appears around the silhouette’s moc toe design while elements like antiqued metal eyelets, waxed cotton rope laces and low-profile foxing complete the package. Retailing for $85 USD, the Vans California Mesa 79 CA is set to be available in-stores and online in Brown/Olive and Dark Brown/Red colorways beginning this July.
