Transworld Spends One Day with 5boro in NYC

Skating in New York City is never just skating, but also eating dumplings, encountering parties interested in the ‘novelty’ of a four-wheeled plank, doing short grinds on metal curbs, and maintaining a heavy lurk presence at various spots and skate shops. As 5boro is perhaps the definitive New York team at the moment, it’s only fitting that they would most accurately portray a day in the life, as exemplified with the above Transworld feature. As a part of their NYC Rising campaign (which also included a montage with Poppalardo footage), Transworld took to the streets of the Lower East Side to follow Mark Nardelli, Willy Akers, Jordan Trahan, and the other usual suspects for a day of skating.
