Originally unveiled back in February ahead of this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is set to make its official debut at dealers beginning in August. Offering a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine in conjunction with a Speedshift DCT seven-speed sports transmission and 4MATIC system, the hatchback is capable of delivering 360 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Look for the vehicle to retail for £37,845 GBP (approximately $59,347 USD) in base form while an extra £1,530 GBP (approximately $2,399 USD) will net drivers an AMG Aerodynamics package that features a modified front splitter along with an added rear aerofoil. Finally, AMG Performance Exhaust with four chrome tail pipes will also be available for the car at a price of £510 GBP (approximately $800 USD). Expect the design to offer stiff competition for the likes of the Audi RS3 and BMW 1 Series M when it drops later this year.
