Following a slew of controversy with lyrics classified as “pro-rape,” Reebok has decided to end its partnership with Rick Ross. The controversy stems from Ross’s “U.O.E.N.O.” single, and in particular the line “Put molly all in her champagne/she ain’t even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that/she ain’t even know it.” Reebok claims they expect partners to keep up to the brand’s high standards of values and is disappointing that Ross is “yet to display an understanding of seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.” Meanwhile the Maybach Music Group honcho is working on seeking a replacement to his verse, with rumors of contributions from Young Jeezy, Kendrick Lamar or Kanye West. Stay tuned for more on the scandal.
