Let’s face it, we knew this was coming and now it’s seemingly official. TMZ has just reported that Rick Ross has been dropped from Reebok following his highly controversial lyrics in “U.O.E.N.O.” in which he recited:
“Put Molly all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it.”
Reebok went on to state:
“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so.”
They also went on to say the following:
“While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”
Meanwhile, Rocko‘s been seeking replacements for the Ross verse to help alleviate all bad press thus far, and rumor has it that it may be Jeezy, Kendrick Lamar or Kanye West. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available, keep it locked.
