Accomplished photographer/painter Marilyn Minter‘s solo exhibition made its debut at the Regen Projects gallery in Hollywood this weekend. The New York artist produced a series of meticulously crafted paintings for the new show in a rather evocative study on perspective. Here, Minter explores the various mediums of close examination, either through the cracked lens of a camera or by focusing on a single eye, amongst other subjects. Though her photographs are more widely known than her work as a painter, Minter expertly demonstrates her proficiency with a brush by painting enamel on sheets of metal, while the foremost details are hand-painted. Minter’s solo exhibition will be on display in Los Angeles through May 11.
