Poke Stools by Kyuhyung Cho for SNICKERIET

The stool is a studio staple, yet its form has seen little adjustment over the course of time. Sweden-based typographer Kyuhyung Cho has playfully reinterpreted a classic silhouette, adding some color and concise functionality to the stool while working with carpentry firm SNICKERIET. Cho’s “Poke Stools” still retain the traditional four-leg system, yet also have an additional eight holes around the circumference of the top portion. This allows the stools to be stacked for heightening or convenient storage. The “Poke Stools” are also crafted using Finnish oak and birch wood, and then finalized with a slick lacquer finish.
