Maison Martin Margiela Designs Custom Outfits for Kanye West's 'Yeezus' Tour

When French atelier Maison Martin Margiela unveiled its Fall/Winter 2012 collection in Paris last summer, the talk of the fashion world became the label’s bejeweled masks of haute couture – a look famously appropriated by Kanye West for last winter’s trio of lavish year-end extravaganzas at Atlantic City’s Revel Resort. Over the weekend, Yeezy kicked off his tour in support of Yeezus – his first full-on solo tour since 2008’s ‘Glow in the Dark’ dates following the release of Graduation – with yet another set of Margiela garb in toe. The elaborate show saw West don everything from mirrored and black gem “veils” to silk trousers, elongated bombers, specially-developed sneakers and more – each tailor-made for the self-professed creative genius and reinterpreted from the extensive archives of the notoriously hush-hush French fashion house. Look for ‘Ye to don the custom pieces throughout the remainder of the Yeezus tour as it makes its way across North America before 2013 comes to an end.
