Nike 2013 Fall/Winter "CR7" Collection

Inspired by Portuguese soccer great Cristiano Ronaldo, the new CR7 collection by Nike resembles a stellar explosion–sort of like him. “The concept of a star that burns brighter than others reflects Cristiano’s style, speed and the idea that as a player he plays without limits, much like the outer reaches of the galaxy,” says Denis Dekovic, Nike’s footwear design director. That’s a tall order, which Nike has evidently attempted to fill with this collection and this iteration of the soccer star’s boot. The lightweight Nike CR7 Mercurial IX and 2013 fall/winter CR7 line feature the Vela Supernova print with a blue glow-outlined, silver-flecked chrome Swoosh.
