An interview with notable VICE and ESPN contributor Chris Nieratko really set the precedent for Ishod Wair’s career – he simply can’t stop skating. It’s hard to believe that the New Jersey native has been a professional for over two years now, perhaps even more so that he seems to transcend the larger-than-life mentalities that have so heavily afflicted other Garden State shredders. Despite being set to deliver one of the ending parts in Nike’s forthcoming SB Chronicles: Volume 2 video, the prolific Wair was able to produce footage for a new clip with Fourstar Clothing. Thrasher hosted the video, which is four full minutes of grainy VX footage and Big Pun – the quintessential East Coast combination. Who else but the graceful Wair could make chunky ledges look so smooth? Will the Dunk Mid make a comeback for skaters in 2014? Will there finally be a dark-complected “Skater of the Year”? Many questions and plenty of answers are presented in “Wair & Tear,” viewable above.
