Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/musician Pat Grossi—who goes by the moniker Active Child—is a voice to be reckoned with. That’s not just a play on words, either. By listening to any of his songs, it’s easy to recognize that the man has been gifted with an amazing set of vocal chords. But vocal talent doesn’t always translate into good music, however. In Grossi’s case, though, he has begun to amass some buzz and a fanbase not only for his falsetto, but for his song-crafting skills as well. With impressive production by Ariel Rechtshaid behind moving ballads such as “Hanging On,” “You Are All I See” and a more uptempo single that features How To Dress Well, Grossi’s debut full-length album has been shaping up over the past few months to be something worth listening to.
