686 The RECLAIM Project: 2011 Process

Snowboarding and technical apparel brand 686’s The RECLAIM Project for this year hits full stride. The concept of sustainability has been an important value in production and consumerism over the last few years with a growing interest in the sourcing of our materials. The RECLAIM Project looks to reuse, reduce and recycle the use of primary materials, instead using leftovers and scraps to incorporate it into a brand new product. For each product created, one piece of apparel is also given away by 686. For early next year, both SIA in Denver and ISPO in Munich will see a select few chosen designers flown out to create their own technical masterpiece live, the RECLAIM way in a three-day process.
