Sounds from the ’50s and ’60s seem to be on the rise again as numerous samples, cover versions and more emerged in recent months. The latest example comes in the shape of the eyebrow raising rework of Ray Charles’s “What I’d Say,” courtesy of DJ Bobby C. The original version was first recorded back in 1959 and was one of the first R&B songs to successfully ‘crossover’ to the pop/rock charts. The featured remix obviously relies on more heavy bass elements and a bouncy vibes and it sure cannot keep up with the original – but it sure does it justice. Tune in below.
