Focusing on structural designs in parallel with human body movements, designer Daisuke Nishida is rather unconventional when it comes to designing clothes alongside his grounding. Having immersed himself into the world of sports and physical fitness before exploring the realm of fashion, Nishida was never inspired by the conventional trends but more attracted on the cross between fitness and construction. His label Devoa is a symbolization of how he translates his unique philosophy towards a carefully planned range encompassing clean, unobtrusive and, to some extent, forward-thinking designs. For Devoa’s Spring/Summer 2012, the distinct Japanese brand previews its most recent collection as seen on an interesting video above. This new arrangement features some well-tailored outerwear garments and trousers that are made of meticulously researched and produced materials, including the intriguing Japanese paper-blend cotton and jersey fabrics.
