Amber Heard has been in the headlines lately more for her divorce with Johnny Depp. However, she’s also been busy filming the upcoming Justice League movie and now we have a first look of her dressed up as the character Mera — Aquaman’s wife and queen. In addition to starring in the new Justice League, Amber Heard will also be taking on the character once again in the official Aquaman title to be released in late July 2018 alongside Jason Momoa. With Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) already in the Justice League picture, it will be interesting to see the push for more female superheroes in the landscape of comic book-inspired films. Take a look at the full image below and let us know your thoughts.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League will debut in theaters on November 10, 2017.
