Seiko Unveils the Presage Arita Porcelain Concentric
Spotlighting a porcelain dial.
After releasing two Prospex Marinemaster 1965 Diver’s Re-Interpretation watches, Seiko now welcomes another sleek new addition to its Presage line: the Presage Arita Porcelain Concentric. As part of the watch brand’s Craftsmanship Series, the new reference also serves as a physical testament to Seiko’s rich watchmaking history and expertise.
Deriving its name from a small town in Kyushu, a region on the southwest coast of Japan, this fresh 40.6mm iteration comes fitted with a porcelain white dial, accentuated with blue accented hands and indices. At the center, a recessed concentric ring pattern as well as a 6 o’clock subdial can be found, both serve to demonstrate Seiko’s expert craftsmanship given the incredible difficulty it is to work on porcelain.
In terms of power, the watch runs on an in-house automatic 6R5H movement, which provides up to 72 hours of continuous running time. Equipped with 10 ATM of water resistance, the reference is fitted with a dual-curved sapphire crystal, screwed yet see-through caseback, complete with a matching stainless steel bracelet.
