G-SHOCK Unveils Patriotic 6900 Watch for 4th of July
Featuring a stainless-steel case back engraved with stars and stripes, a spirited EL Backlight screen and more.
Ahead of the 4th of July, Casio has revealed an all-new G-SHOCK inspired by Independence Day’s patriotic spirit. The newest member of the 6900 lineup, the DW6900US24-2 revamps the series’ original 1995 model with a contemporary design lens.
Inside a round case, the signature “three-eyed” model boasts a triple graph display with a large front button. At the time of its initial launch, the 6900 series marked a strong shift from G-SHOCK’s former square designs, like that on the DW5000C.
Here, the DW6900US24-2 features a stainless-steel case back engraved with stars and stripes, nodding to the American holiday. Red and blue details enhance the watch’s navy bezel and mirror dial, while the band loop appears in red with large white stars.
The timepiece’s front button houses Casio’s classic “G” marker, which has appeared on the DW6900 for several years. When pushed, the button signals the EL Backlight screen to illuminate the device with the American flag.
Rounding out the specs, the latest G-SHOCK is equipped with 200M water resistance, as well as a multi-functional alarm, countdown timer and 1/100 seconds stopwatch.
The DW6900US24-2 is now available to shop online and in G-SHOCK’s Soho store for $130 USD. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
