Romy Drops New Single “Always Forever” Co-Produced With Fred Again..
Sampling Donna Lewis’ 1996 classic “I Love You Always Forever.”
Romy has linked up with Fred again.. for another high-energy collaboration. The two joined forces last year as co-producers, alongside Stuart Price, on Romy’s long-awaited debut album Mid Air.
Romy and Fred had first met in 2018 and began writing together with the aim of selling the songs off to other artists. In one session together, they penned “Loveher,” which she wound up using for her own LP.
Their new collaboration, “Always Forever,” is a thumping dance track that gradually builds over Romy’s soft singing. It’ll be a familiar tune to many listeners, given it samples Donna Lewis’ 1996 classic “I Love You Always Forever.”
The song first debuted at Romy’s 2023 set during Mexico City’s Ceremonia Festival. Since then, the artist has played it at several of her solo headlining shows.
