Porsche has officially unveiled its 2025 911 lineup, one that’s full of new updates and firsts for the performance automaker — including the electrified 911 Carrera GTS with T-Hybrid technology. This latest iteration of the iconic model features the first-ever super-lightweight performance hybrid for a street-legal 911. This innovative hybrid system brings a substantial boost to driving dynamics while maintaining the sports car’s legendary agility.

At the heart of the new 911 Carrera GTS is a newly developed 3.6L boxer engine combined with a high-voltage electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This system not only enhances power delivery but also improves efficiency. The electric turbocharger, integrated with an electric motor, generates up to 15 hp of electric power from the exhaust gas flow, eliminating the need for a traditional turbo setup.

The T-Hybrid system also features a permanent magnet synchronous motor within the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, providing an additional torque boost and supporting the main engine even at idle speeds. The entire system is complemented by a compact, lightweight high-voltage battery, which stores 1.9 kWh of energy and operates at 400 volts, contributing to the car’s 0-60 mph time of just 3 seconds and top speed of 193 mph.

Additional updates and firsts include new styling that integrates active air intake flaps on the 911 Carrera GTS, a 911 Carrera model that’s powered by a 3L twin-turbo boxer engine, a fully digital instrument cluster, a start button, optional Carrera-specific carbon fiber aero wheels and rear axel steering included as standard equipment.

New paint finishes are also available, including Cartagena Yellow Metallic and Slate Grey Neo, alongside special paint-to-sample (PTS) colors: Audrain Green Metallic, Centenaire Silver, Eberle Green, Frozen Berry Metallic, Nashy Blue, Sean Peach, Verde Zeltweg Metallic and the return of GTS Red.

It’s also worth noting that there will be no manual option offered for any of the new 2025 models that have been revealed at the time of writing — instead, each model will utilize Porsche’s PDK transmission. The full list of new Porsche 911 models includes the Carrera, Carrera Cabriolet, Carrera GTS, Carrera GTS Cabriolet, Carrera 4 GTS, Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, Targa 4 GTS.

The new models are available to order now, with deliveries for the Carrera models expected to be as early as this Fall and the Carrera GTS models by the end of 2024, with MSRP excluding tax and dealer charges ranging between $120,000 to $180,000 USD. The current 911 Turbo, Turbo S and GT3 RS models will continue to be offered for the 2025 model year and remain unchanged in their pricing.
