Dublin-born designer Robyn Lynch champions Ireland with every piece of clothing she creates.

Lynch’s heartfelt work has seen her reinterpret her dad’s old football jerseys to weaving sheep and shamrocks into upcycled knits, the East London-based creative makes pieces that tell a story, one that is inherently hers.

Having become a stalwart at London Fashion Week in recent seasons, Lynch will now bring a selection of unreleased garments a short distance from her studio into Hypebeast Flea, offering a sneak peek of her latest seasonal collection.

Hypebeast: Explain your brand to people who may not know you yet.

Robyn Lynch: Robyn Lynch is a contemporary menswear runway brand launched in 2019. Showing seasonally on the London Fashion Week calendar. We aim to celebrate and champion Irish culture and creativity through nostalgic memories and references. We have collaborated with brands such as Rapha and Columbia, specializing in upcycling and reworking deadstock garments to create a new exciting product that embodies our signature silhouettes and color.

What’s the journey been like from starting your brand, to where you are today?

It’s been a lot of fun and hard work. We are an incredibly small team that started in my parent’s house in Dublin to then at my flat in Hackney. We finally moved into our first studio last year. It’s been a slow and steady progress of growth.

Flea is going to be hosted for the first time in the UK. How does the UK’s creative community inspire you and your brand?

I think the UK, especially London, is a melting pot of many different cultures. It allows people from all over the world to celebrate and champion their heritage in a unique way. I also think people are way more fearless with their fashion choices. It’s inspiring even just leaving my flat.

What have you got planned at Hypebeast Flea?

A real mix of signature silhouettes, some runway pieces as well as something new and not yet released.

What other vendors are you looking forward to checking out at Hypebeast Flea?

We are big fans of Old Old Woods in the studio. We can’t wait to see their selection.
