Description
Silas Adler is a professional skateboarder who is the Creative Director, designer and founder of the Danish skate and lifestyle brand Soulland.
He is passionate about skateboarding as well. Adler founded Soulland as a small T-shirt brand in 2002 with a close group of friends who were “into skateboarding and didn’t care much about high school.” Adler’s vision under the role of Creative Director has garnered him a reputation for his discerning eye for design and style. Adler has said that he does not spend time looking at other menswear brands.
While Soulland’s aesthetic embraces Scandinavian craftsmanship, the brand puts forth many reinterpreted, original designs under the guidance of Adler as Head Designer.
In 2011, the Royal Danish Postal Service commissioned Soulland to design the official stamp of Denmark. In 2012, Adler was named ‘Designer of the Year’ at the 2012 Dansk Fashion Awards.
