Founded in 2002 by Silas Adler and a close group of friends who were “into skateboarding and didn’t care much about high school,” Soulland exceeded its roots as a T-shirt brand, going on to become one of the most reputable lifestyle labels out of Scandinavia. Without departing from traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship, the brand explores a wide array of textures and color pallets each season, presenting classic menswear designs with a modern twist. As Creative Director, his discerning eye for design and style has been infectious, with the Royal Danish Postal Service commissioning Soulland to design the official stamp of Denmark in 2011. In his Essentials for us, Adler showcase a number of travel and fashion staples. Passport, iPhone, and a COMME des GARCONS wallet are placed next to vintage Hermes scarf, sunglasses and headwear pieces — JJJound cap and Soulland beanie — while Spitfire wheels nod at his affinity for skateboarding.
