Riccardo Tisci Teases His Inaugural Collection for Burberry
“B Classic” honors the heritage of the label.
Building on the buzz surrounding his unexpected appointment as Chief Creative Officer of Burberry, Riccardo Tisci recently teased his first collection for the British luxury fashion house.
Offering a taste of whats to come, Tisci took to Instagram to reveal some key looks from Burberry’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2019 pre-collection. Titled “B Classic,” the lead-up range focusses heavily on the outerwear of the British house and is accompanied by an assortment of iconic plaid accented tops, bottoms, bags, footwear and more.
“I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry. “B Classic” is an edit that I’ve curated to honour the icons of the House – pieces like the trench coat, the quilted jacket, the car coat, the kilt – which sits at the heart of the SS19 pre collection designed by the fantastic Burberry design team.”
