RHUDE and Afterpay Are Cooking Something Up Ahead of the 2025-2026 Basketball Season

Marking the start of the 2025-2026 basketball season, Afterpay has joined forces with RHUDE, one of the few brands that has garnered co-signs from the league’s most influential players through sheer word of mouth — and the occasional tunnel walk. An exciting brand moment spotlighting RHUDE’s luxury-meets-street craftsmanship, the apparel launch will also provide consumers a unique foray into The Dropshop by Afterpay’s robust community of brands and independent creators. With early access to limited-edition merchandise and hard-to-snag designer drops, The Dropshop has become a leading destination for coveted fashion finds that highlight today’s rising designers.

Founded in 2015, Rhuigi Villaseñor’s RHUDE orbits a liminal space, where the aesthetics of luxury blend into the style codes of Los Angeles. Villaseñor’s approach to design is niche in execution, opting for tailored, bespoke pieces that expand what luxury can look like. High-profile figures on the court, in music, motorsports, soccer and beyond gravitate to RHUDE for its distinctive street- and sport-inspired collections — a fusion that reflects Villaseñor’s disruptive vision.

By the looks of it, his collaboration with Afterpay is shaping up to be a court-inspired, two-piece set. An emerald green and cream color scheme thematically ties the capsule together. Other design cues, like the capsule’s stylized Gothic lettering and bold overlays, pay homage to RHUDE’s home base in LA. For accessories, a monogrammed basketball tops off the collection — doubling as an eye-catching collector’s item.
