Lucky Daye is in his feels on the new single, “HERicane.” For his first release of 2024, the R&B artist considers the chaos of a tumultuous relationship and one seeking out a sense of stability.

“This song is about being grounded in a chaotic relationship,” Daye said. It’s important for people to be reminded that it’s a good time to be yourself and shine. Just be grounded and fierce in who you are.”

The vibe-heavy track was produced by D’Mile. Daye and D’Mile also co-wrote the lyrics alongside D’Mile, Mike “Hunnid” McGregor, Frank Nitty and Dustin “Dab” Bowie.

Rather than an official music video, Daye paired the song’s premiere with a recording of him performing “HERicane” live.

Daye’s last album Candytrip arrived in 2022. With the first song of the year out now, fans are hoping the singer has more music on the way in the coming months.
