Miu Miu's Deconstructed New Balance 530SLs Cost $1,120 USD
The duo’s latest project is already out of stock.
Miuccia Prada has seen her label Miu Miu dominate the decade so far — leveraging collaborative partnerships to keep the brand in the spotlight. One such relationship that it has maintained for years now is with American sportswear brand New Balance. The two have reimagined New Balance silhouettes such as the 574, though always at a price point that catches most New Balance fans off guard.
Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway show revealed that more was on the way from the two, with the duo officially launching their previously-unveiled collaborative 530SLs today. Creating a “super light” version of 1992’s 530, a deconstructed take on the shoe has been crafted. In “Cinnamon,” the renewed structure is constructed of suede while the “White” colorway utilizes a mesh base and suede overlays. Both pairs feature Miu Miu branding at the tongue while special laces have been prepared for each — utilizing everything from leather to sailing cord.
The Miu Miu x New Balance 530SL project released today via Miu Miu at a price of $1,120 USD per pair and is no longer available in any size. Stay tuned for possible updates regarding restocks and/or a wider release via New Balance.
