Earlier last month, Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel spoke to Men’s Health about his feud with co-star Dwayne Johnson, suggesting that he was responsible for the latter’s exceptional performance in the films due to his “tough love,” and now Johnson has finally responded to those comments.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote his upcoming film Jungle Cruise with Emily Blunt, Johnson was asked about Diesel taking credit for his performance.

“I laughed and I laughed hard,” he responded. “I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”

His co-star Blunt also chimed in: “Just thank God [Diesel] was there. Thank God. He carried you through that.”

F9 is now in theaters while Jungle Cruise will premiere July 30.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Michaela Coel has reportedly joined the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
