Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming anime The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

The trailer sees a young Vesemir, voiced by Theo James, tracking down a witch as the air amongst him changes and his surroundings begin to turn against him and his fellow monster hunters. The anime series explores the origin story of Vesemir, a rogueish monster hunter who has escaped his life of poverty with the help of Deglan. He is largely successful at slaying various monsters, however, it appears that his luck has turned when faced with a contract hunt for a witch named Tetra, who is voiced by Lara Pulver. Others joining the cast include Mary McDonnell and Graham McTavish.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf hits Netflix on August 28. The anime series gives fans of the fantasy franchise a different storyline to engross themselves in prior to the release of the second season of The Witcher.
