Xbox fans need never take a break from gaming again: a wealth of the console’s games will soon be available to play anywhere on Android phone or tablet devices. The new cloud gaming feature, which will debut with over 100 games available, is set to launch in September.

Titles available on launch will include Minecraft Dungeons, Destiny 2, Tell me Why, Gears 5, and Yakuza Kiwami 2, with more releases within the catalog set to be confirmed in the run-up to the launch date.

The service will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 22 markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, South Korea, France and Germany. The feature will then be scaled to become available in more regions. This is an expansion of the current Game Pass service, which at present allows users to stream games online from their console (in a model similar to Netflix). Mobile play will be available at no additional cost to users.

The new functionality will transmit game data between console and mobile: meaning a saved game on the Xbox can be resumed from mobile. It also means that co-operative games can be played with one friend on a console and the other playing from a mobile device.

Users will need an Android 6.0 or greater phone or tablet and Bluetooth 4.0. You’ll also need a wifi or data connection with at least 10 Mbps download speed. At present, Xbox hasn’t shared any plans to make the service available to iPhone users. In June, Google announced the launch of its own game-streaming service, Stadia, which will also make games available on mobile.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be available on Android from September 15.

In other Xbox news, Halo Infinite multiplayer will reportedly be free to play.
