Carhartt WIP has followed up its participation in MR PORTER’s “The Tee Store” by unveiling its full Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The new range builds on classic Carhartt WIP themes, with classic utilitarian and workwear-inspired pieces updated for a new setting.
Throughout the collection, Carhartt WIP has used subtle touches to rework archival pieces. This includes overdyed fabrics that accentuate triple stitched shoulder construction, boiler suits coming in a new stretch twill and the brand’s Double Knee Pant, which is produced in a pre-aged canvas.
Elsewhere, the brand has brought in a range of functional elements including a new season cam, mixing real foliage with digital camo, and the continuation of its work with GORE-TEX INFINIUM technology. Other pieces in the collection come in wool and corduroy to contrast against the technical fabrics, while classic Carhartt WIP jersey pieces are inspired by five borough boosters, aspirational prep style and ’90s color blocking.
