Juice Wrld’s devastating passing has echoed shock across the hip-hop and music communities. At just 21-years-old, the tragic event has continued to make the last few years some of the most calamitous years in memory for the scene. Now his record label, Interscope Geffen A&M Records, has released a statement to XXL in regards to the Chicago Rapper’s passing.

Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time. Early Sunday, December 8, Juice had suffered a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport following a flight from California. The rising superstar had just celebrated his 21st birthday last week on December 2 and was currently working on his forthcoming album, the follow-up to his riotous Death Race for Love project that graced audiences earlier this year. A cause of death is still pending.

Following the release of the project, Juice sat down with HYPEBEAST to discuss his eclectic approach to music.
