PORTER has brought its BALLOONSAC SHRINK back in a new limited-edition BLACK, refreshing the pouch-inspired style in a color designed to sharpen any outfit. Drawn from the traditional small-item pouch bags that gave the line its name, the release leans on soft materials and adjustable construction across two sizes.
The BALLOONSAC SHRINK is built primarily from shrink leather with a soft hand, its natural, irregular grain a product of the artisans’ finishing work. That supple leather is what lets the bag shift shape so readily, giving the BLACK version a chic, understated look that plays to the color’s timeless appeal.
The main compartment opens and closes with a drawstring at the mouth, and repositioning the cord stopper lets you cinch or loosen the bag to change its silhouette on the fly, a rare bit of adjustability for a leather piece. A detachable shoulder strap rounds out the design, turning it into a two-way bag that works as either a handheld pouch or a shoulder carry.
Sizing gives buyers two options. The larger BALLOONSAC is roomy enough to hold a plastic bottle, while the more compact BALLOONSAC (S) trims the proportions for lighter days. Both arrive in the same soft shrink leather and share the drawstring-and-strap system, so the choice comes down to how much you need to carry rather than any change in construction.
The PORTER BALLOONSAC SHRINK in BLACK drops September 18 via PORTER.
