JJJJound and PORTER have joined forces on a four-piece bag collection that puts technical function ahead of everything else. The Montreal design studio and the Japanese bag house built the capsule around silhouettes suited to daily situations like commuting and cycling, uniting a key pack, a drawstring bag, a messenger bag and a backpack under a single all-black, purpose-driven design language.
The material runs consistently across all four carries. Each piece uses an outer of nylon ripstop treated with a water-repellent finish, giving the collection tear strength and enough protection to handle light rain, paired with tarpaulin for structure. Inside, the lining is a quilted nylon jacquard with the PORTER logo delicately woven throughout. Hardware ties the set together too, with high-quality metal name tags, buckles and cord stoppers all carrying the JJJJound logo, while the three larger bags add an original Tyvek name tag inside.
The Key Pack is the most compact entry, a small holder for coins and cards that weighs just 120 grams. It arrives with a detachable neck strap, so it can hang as a lanyard or convert into a standalone pouch, and the interior includes a double ring for organizing keys. Stepping up in size, the Drawstring Bag works as a grab-and-go carry for a wallet or smartphone. Its side zippers open into pockets for quick-access items, and the shoulder straps use joints plus a wide length-adjustment range, making the bag easy to shed when wearing bulky outerwear or to switch between hand, shoulder and cross-body carry.
The two largest pieces bring the most utility. The Messenger Bag is sized for everyday city movement, fitting A4 documents inside. Its flap adds a zippered pocket for a phone and integrates a PALS “Pouch Attachment Ladder System,” letting wearers mount pouches and accessories along evenly spaced nylon webbing, while a reflective stretch cord secures a shirt or light layer on the outside. The Backpack rounds out the group as a 19-liter daypack. It keeps things organized with a flat interior pocket inside the front compartment and carries the same reflective stretch cord system for lashing down extra layers on the move.
