Nike and the Kobe Bryant estate continue to revive classic signature models with the upcoming return of the Nike Kobe 10 Low Protro “Blackout”. The iconic 2015 colorway is set to make its modernized Protro debut during the Spring 2027 season.
Originally released during the 2014–15 NBA season, the “Blackout” theme serves as a direct reference to Bryant’s legendary training sessions and unyielding mental endurance. The silhouette is wrapped in a deep purple mesh upper paired with black synthetic paneling along the tongue, laces, and heel tab. Subtle metallic accents highlight the side Swooshes, while bright volt touches land on the tongue’s sheath emblem and outsole details.
While retaining the visual identity of the original release, the Protro treatment incorporates updated internal performance specs. The model is expected to feature upgraded foam cushioning and a responsive Zoom Air setup designed to offer enhanced court feel and impact protection for today’s athletes.
The Nike Kobe 10 Protro “Blackout” is scheduled to release in Spring 2027.
