Summary

  • Getting an early start on spooky season, Nike has unveiled a horror-themed Air Force 1 Low inspired by the legendary Scream movie franchise
  • Unofficially dubbed the “Ghostface,” the sneaker features a distressed white leather upper, a blacked-out sole, and aggressive “slashed” side Swooshes
  • The design is packed with cinematic easter eggs, including blood-red accents, a Scream-style tongue logo, and a custom lace dubrae shaped like a 90s cordless phone

Nike is officially bringing one of the most iconic slashers in horror history to its most iconic silhouette. Although spooky season is still months away, the Swoosh is already building major hype for Halloween 2026 with a first look at the spine-chilling Nike Air Force 1 Low “Ghostface.” Channeling the terrifying, meta-horror energy of the beloved Scream franchise, this thematic release transforms the classic court sneaker into a cinematic tribute complete with slashed materials and killer details.

To capture the essence of Woodsboro’s most infamous killer, Nike completely overhauled the Air Force 1’s traditional pristine upper. The design starts with a white leather base that has been aggressively covered in black distressed and scratched detailing, giving the shoe a chaotic, battle-worn appearance. The horror motif is taken a step further with the side Swooshes, which look as though they have been literally slashed open by Ghostface’s signature hunting knife.

Grounding the design is a stark black midsole and outsole, which provide a heavy contrast to the distressed upper. To break up the monochromatic chaos, sharp pops of blood-red are applied to the lace tips, the forefoot mini Swoosh, and the heel branding.

However, it’s the hyper-specific movie references that will truly win over horror fans. The tongue tag swaps out standard typography for bold, white “Nike” branding that directly mimics the sharp, curved font of the classic Scream title logo. Best of all, the sneaker features a custom lace dubrae molded into the shape of a retro cordless phone—an unmistakable nod to the terrifying, trivia-laced phone calls that kick off every movie in the franchise.

Nike’s annual Halloween drops are always a highlight of the sneaker calendar, but the “Ghostface” Air Force 1 Low is already shaping up to be a standout classic. Whether you’re a die-hard horror buff or just looking for the ultimate October flex, you’ll want to keep a close eye on the SNKRS app as autumn approaches. Just don’t answer the phone.
