The worlds of EDM and Pokémon are merging into one this year with “Pokémon Night Out“. Part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary, The Pokémon Company International has announced two in-person experiences coming to Los Angeles and London.
Designed for fans of EDM and Pokémon to connect with fellow Trainers, it’s said to be an immersive, curated concert setting. Described as a “dynamic live music event with custom sets and visuals created exclusively for the event,” it stars Marshmello and supporting act Alison Wonderland . Beyond the event’s innovative stage technology and Pokémon-themed visual storytelling, it will feature commemorative merchandise from the Pokémon Center, with select items for sale on-site and online in limited quantities.
“Both Marshmello and Alison Wonderland share a genuine passion for Pokémon that extends beyond the stage, making this collaboration a natural celebration of the fandom,” shares Taito Okiura, VP of marketing and media at TPCi. “Trainers can expect an unforgettable audiovisual journey featuring fan-favorite Pokémon while honoring nearly 30 years of adventures together.”
“Pokémon Night Out” is an experience for fans ages 16 and up. It’s coming to the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on October 24 and the O2 arena in London on November 10. Tickets are set to go on sale on April 17 via Ticketmaster (LA) and AXS (London).
