Drake‘s highly anticipated ninth studio project ICEMAN finally has an official release date.
After months of cryptic teasers and social media speculation, the Toronto powerhouse has officially set the stage for his next musical chapter. The announcement arrived via an elaborate hometown installation, featuring a massive 25-foot ice sculpture dropped directly in the middle of downtown Toronto. The stunt reached its climax when Twitch streamer Kishka successfully chipped through the ice. Hidden inside was a blue waterproof bag reading “freeze the world,” which contained a book of concept art and the official May 15 drop date. Following the reveal, Kishka was allegedly directed to the artist’s property and gifted $100,000 USD in cash.
ICEMAN serves as the official follow-up to last year’s collaborative R&B project Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PARTYNEXTDOOR, marking his first solo full-length since 2023. While the tracklist remains tightly under wraps, recent promotional livestreams for the project have previewed potential appearances from heavyweight names like Central Cee and Yeat.
Drake’s ICEMAN drops May 15.
