Italian brands C.P. Company and Alessi have unveiled a multifaceted collaboration at Milan Design Week, releasing an apparel capsule and a limited-edition coffee set that are both rooted in a common ethos.
The classic steel Alessi 9090 espresso maker is finished with a black PVD finish, which will develop a unique patina over time, mimicking C.P. Company’s garment-dyed pieces that evolve with wash and wear. Accented with brass-colored details, the PVD coating provides a matte contrast to metallic finishes. In matching black PVD-coated steel, the 9090 espresso maker is accompanied by a moka set and mug by Jean Nouvel, and a geometric tray by Enzo Mari. As a special-edition release, the C.P. Company 9090 is limited to 999 numbered pieces.
The nylon Alessi x C.P. Company Overshirt comes in three exclusive colourways, two of which are inspired by vintage Alessi factory uniforms designed by Memphis design pioneer Ettore Sottsass in 1983: Deep Lavender and Malachite Green. Along with the deep blue colorway, the shirts are each embroidered with Alessi and C.P. Company’s wordmarks side by side.
