The Robbery-Homicide Division of the Los Angeles Police Department has officially arrested D4vd for the murder of missing 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The 21-year-old singer is currently being held without bail as the situation transitions into its next judicial phase

The arrest follows a grim discovery made in September 2025. Authorities located the Lake Elsinor, California teenager’s partial, decomposed remains inside the front trunk of a 2023 Tesla Model Y, which was registered to Burke, who was on tour at the time. The vehicle had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills before being towed to a local impound lot, where the discovery occurred.

Previously identified as a target of a grand jury investigation, the artist’s apprehension marks a severe escalation in the case. Burke cancelled the rest of his tour dates shortly after the vehicle was discovered, and his label Interscope pulled the deluxe version of his album from the release calendar.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Monday for filing consideration. As of writing, representatives for the artist have not released a formal statement regarding the arrest.
