Lana Del Rey Just Dropped the Lead Single for the '007' Video Game
The songstress joins the ranks as the latest “Bond title song” contributor with her first single since “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.”
Lana Del Rey is the latest Bond Girl.
If you told us the follow-up to February’s “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” would be the title track for the newest James Bond video game, we surely wouldn’t believe you. But a few hours ago, Del Rey went full 007 more and dropped off her second new single of 2026, “First Light,” which, more notably, signals the first single to come from the imminent Bond video game.
“Bond title songs are unforgettable, and being invited to bring a new one into the world is both an honor and a truly unique experience,” Del Rey elaborated in a press statement.
The music within the James Bond universe has always played a key role in the franchise’s immersive worldbuilding, contributing heavily to the 007 narrative arc. The songstress joins the ranks of an A-list bunch of musicians who have since had their hands at the James Bond title track, including Madonna, Billie Eilish, Adele, Sam Smith, Tina Turner, Jack White, and Alicia Keys.
“First Light” precedes any official details surrounding the game itself – once again cementing the sonic component of the 007-verse – though the title theme is slated to premiere tomorrow, April 17, at 10 a.m. PST across all First Light channels on X, Twitch, YouTube, Steam, and TikTok as the game becomes available for preorder at the same time.
Stream “First Light” on all streaming services now, and stay tuned as more concrete info materializes.
