Summary

  • South Korean beauty label Tamburins is set to open its third Japanese location with a new flagship store in Daikanyama
  • The immersive retail space will feature a massive kinetic dachshund art installation alongside interactive digital photo booths
  • To commemorate the grand opening the brand is releasing a limited-edition iteration of its signature Egg Perfume dubbed Evening Glow

TAMBURINS is continuing its expansion into the Japanese market with the opening of a new flagship store in Tokyo’s Daikanyama district, accompanied by the release of the exclusive “Evening Glow” Egg Perfume. Serving as the brand’s third location in Japan following Aoyama and Shibuya, the new space aims to seamlessly blend its signature olfactive aesthetic with immersive art and interactive digital technology.

Stepping into the Daikanyama flagship, visitors are immediately greeted by “SUNSHINE,” a striking 13-meter-long dachshund installation. The meticulously engineered art piece features subtle, lifelike movements, simulating muscle tremors and breathing patterns to create a deeply engaging retail atmosphere. Adjacent to the massive sculpture, a dedicated photo booth allows guests to interact with a digital rendering of “SUNSHINE,” which automatically mirrors the visitor’s outfit for a synchronized photo op. A special Japan-exclusive visual activation even features the dachshund sporting a traditional yukata.

Alongside the architectural and artistic offerings, TAMBURINS is expanding its beloved fragrance lineup for the occasion. The grand opening will host the launch of the “Evening Glow” Egg Perfume, dropping as a strict limited-edition release. Housed in the brand’s iconic ovular bottle, the new scent profile captures the essence of a red-tinted sunset sky, blending rich, botanical notes of rose, patchouli, and cypriol.

The TAMBURINS “Evening Glow” Egg Perfume drops March 19 via the new TAMBURINS Daikanyama Flagship store, with availability strictly limited until April 16.
