Nike announced the First Sight line as a new sneaker campaign for women that is all about self-expression. Three new hybrid silhouettes were teased, however, only the Noir was fully revealed. Now, designer Frank Cooker has offered a more complete preview of the Shadow.
Drawing inspiration from the ’00s era of Nike Basketball, the First Sight Shadow stands out with its sculpted upper. Familiar yet fresh, the model draws clear influence from the various ‘Posite silhouettes of decades past. Ovals add texture to the shell, which combines with what looks to be neoprene for its slip-on entry point. Samples in gray and royal blue have been teased, with both backed by a bespoke traction pattern inspired by performance shoes.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet indicated when the First Sight line will introduce the Shadow sneaker. Stay tuned for updates, including the reveal of the model’s lead colorway, and look out for these two sample colorways to possibly drop later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
