Kith Takes on New Balance Made in UK's 991v1 and 991v2

Ronnie Fieg and the rest of the Kith crew have established a close relationship with New Balance. Last year, the duo was responsible for assisting in the rollout of the new ABZORB 2010 sneaker, and later concluded the year with a 990v4 collab teaser. Now, following Fieg’s teaser this week, the latest Kith x New Balance Made in UK project has been presented.
Featuring the Made in UK line’s 991v1 and 991v2 sneakers, Kith has combined its penchant for tasteful palettes with two premium canvases. Each shoe is equipped with pigskin suede overlays and a mesh base. Reflective accents are joined by subtle co-branding at the tongue, dubrae, and footbed. The 991v1 features ABZORB pods and ENCAP cushioning, supporting a slightly green “Vetiver” composition. Meanwhile, the 991v2 favors a taupe “Moonrock” with ABZORB SBS pods, ENCAP cushioning, and FuelCell technology underfoot.
Drawings for the Kith x New Balance Made in UK 991v1 “Vetiver” and 991v2 “Moonrock” have opened via the Kith app. A global release via Kith channels is set to take place on March 16 at 11am local time.
