ZEGNA has unveiled its newest fragrance launch, MEMORIE — a deeply personal olfactory collection structured as a six-chapter memoir that draws inspiration from the defining moments and landscapes of founder Ermenegildo Zegna’s life.
Crafted by master perfumers Dominique Ropion, Fabrice Pellegrin and Quentin Bisch, the compositions span a wide spectrum of olfactory families. The six fragrances each carry a distinct identity. Il Calamaio (The Inkwell) is a leathery amber composition evoking creativity and beginnings, while Il Lanificio (The Wool Mill) channels ZEGNA’s textile heritage with warm amber and resinous tones. A Trivero offers a fresh fougère with floral and myrrh accents, echoing the alpine breeze of the founder’s hometown.
Il Sottobosco (The Underwood) brings woody spice and earthy accords reminiscent of forest floors, while La Panoramica (The Panorama) captures renewal through aromatic green notes inspired by ZEGNA’s vast reforestation project. Last but not least, Saga del Piemonte (The Piedmont Saga) delivers gourmand woods and smoky warmth, recalling the fireside evenings of family life in Piedmont.
Designed with clean lines and distinguished by color codes tied to each memory, the bottles reinforce the storytelling nature of the collection — black for Il Calamaio, foliage for Il Lanificio, blue for A Trivero, brown for Il Sottobosco, green for La Panoramica and red for Saga del Piemonte. Retailing at $349 USD for 100ml, MEMORIE is accompanied by a cinematic campaign starring Mads Mikkelsen, written by Roman Coppola and directed by Boramy Viguier. The MEMORIE fragrance collection is now available through ZEGNA boutiques and online store.
