Jil Sander and Oliver Peoples have officially linked up to launch the first drop of their collaborative sunglasses collection. Channeling an energy of contrasts, the project seamlessly juxtaposes the modernist European heritage of Jil Sander with the quintessential Californian roots of Oliver Peoples.
Handmade in Japan, the collection utilizes tactile titanium and sculptural acetate to deliver exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and functional beauty. All sunglasses in the lineup feature state-of-the-art glass lenses crafted in Italy, which are distinctively marked with a breath logo.
The titanium offerings, such as Edition 1 and Edition 5, boast an angular rim around the lenses that thickens at the top and thins out at the bottom. These metal frames feature pinched titanium details that create a flat surface for engraved logos, transitioning into comfortable, rounded drop-shaped temple tips. On the acetate side, Edition 3, Edition 4, and Edition 6 lean into voluminous, sculptural shapes equipped with ergonomic temples, custom hinges, and hand-inlaid logo plaques. The color palette is driven by custom-developed tones of Dark Green, Soft Pink, and Butterscotch, alongside classic staples like Black, Brown, and Tortoise. To round out the meticulous design, the eyewear arrives in folded packaging that recalls the gestural purity of a signature Jil Sander bag.
The Jil Sander and Oliver Peoples eyewear collection is available now via selected Jil Sander and Oliver Peoples stores, as well as on the Jil Sander and Oliver Peoples webstores.
