Merging its legendary, utilitarian toughness with the bold world of contemporary graphic art, Casio has introduced a striking new collaboration with renowned visual artist Joshua Vides. By applying his signature “Reality to Idea” concept to two of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes, the limited-edition drop successfully translates hard-edge, two-dimensional comic aesthetics into highly wearable, statement-making three-dimensional timepieces.

Drawing on the beloved 5600 and 6900 watch families, the collaboration leans heavily into a high-contrast, monochromatic black-and-white color palette. Using sophisticated multi-angle printing techniques, the watches look as though they have been entirely sketched by hand on paper. The DW5600JV-7 is executed in a crisp gloss white with bold, black marker-like strokes across the band, case, and dial. Meanwhile, the round DW6900JV-1 acts as the visual inverse, sporting a matte black finish highlighted by stark white contoured stripes that mimic rough pen strokes.
